Put It On Subscribe And Save - Mclane Lawn Edger Review

I purchased this edger as a replacement for an electric edger that gave out. This is a very powerful edger that does the job quickly. It makes edging a heck of a lot easier than trying to use a scrawny weed eater, especially with the crabgrass here in the Coastal Bend. I still have to give it a once over with the weed eater to tidy it up, but much easier and I use the weed eater the next week just to keep it trim before the next edging. Had I known there had been this much improvement I wouldn't have waited for the old one to die. It does a great job at edging making it a quick and easy job. So I've got to stay on top of my yard if I don't want a "nasty-gram" from the lady who drives around and makes sure that all the grass is mowed and the shutters are painted. The B&D Edge hog and the replacement blades are a breeze to use. I was going to purchase a Craftsman edger, but after seeing all the bad reviews, I decided not to go with gas and bought the Edge Hog after seeing all the reviews on Amazon. Got the Edge Hog out of the box. Easy to use, multi-purpose...a bonus with the trencher and it works right. Price was great and delivery was right on time.

I highly recommend it. And my property looks wonderful. I recommend buying extra blades when you purchase one, you will soon need them. Been using the attachment weed eater edger.

With this tool, just move the lever from trench to edge (which takes about 3 or 4 seconds), and there is no need to backfill because you have a perfect edge line. Here are some common mistakes to avoid, which may even explain a few of the reviewers who give this a low review.

Everything arrived on time; the only problem was that the package was left at the wrong address. It took me less them 5 minutes to assemble the edger. If the edge guide happens to follow the concrete, the blade is spaced so far from it, that it doesn't catch everything and you have to go back and forth over it until you randomly get it. Great power that delivers the clean edge you want on your lawn. The blades on this edge cutter will just crush the grass; it won't give a fine cut, thus leaving the cut edge weird looking. Gladly returned to Lowes.

This new model is a great improvement over the previous models. It is quiet and more versatile - being able to trench and cut on a bevel.

We have shopped for about a year for one of these and we definitely made the right decision. I hate yard work, so I got this for faster work and it is, has held up good over a year. Effortless power, easy to start, no cord hassle, and way a better cutting job. I tried electricity and I am back to gas.
