The banner stand is a highly important application when it comes to the likes of trade fair shows or even open days for universities and colleges all over the world. It is generally used to promote a concept, a business or a specific academic course which is being marketed to people.

Many colleges and universities will have open days where they will have information points for prospective students to find out more about the courses they offer. As a result, it is like a form of advertisement and a lot of work needs to be put into it.

This is particularly important for those who are trying to promote their own business or company. Prospective clients, customers or even workers will be attracted by what is eye catching and interesting to look at. The banner itself has to display a message which gets all the aspects of that company in one sentence.

The message itself shouldn't be too long, as this will make people who read it somewhat bored and they will move on to the next one. It must spark an interest in those who read it and make them want to find out more information about the product, service or course that is being put on offer.

The yearly open day which is usually held by most institutes of education use their banners many years at a time, so the design of them must be carefully thought out. Occasionally they will need to be changed depending on whether or not the course they are promoting also changes.

The main reason for this being that a lot of students have a very good idea of what they plan on studying and what kind of career they wish to follow. They will then go and try to seek the specific information.

The same can be said for job fairs, although it is definitely important to put the message out there in bright letters. There are of course a few guidelines which are given to people when it comes to this kind of thing.

There are some guidelines, of course, which one ought to follow when it comes to the actual design of the message sign itself. Many people will strongly advise people to stay away from using the color luminous yellow. Light colors such as this are not a good way of putting a message out there.

This is next to impossible to read and can strain the eyes of the person who sees it. Luminous yellow in general should always be avoided because of reading difficult, and a lot of people will also claim that the color read isn't really the best option. Red is seen as being somewhat aggressive and might even turn a few people off that particular stand. Good solid colors are generally needed in order to make the message stand out.

The font of the message from the banner stand should also be readable for the prospective clients or students, nobody wants to have to decipher a message. Over all, the entire process itself can be a lot of fun.
