To see a window, but not being able to look out of it is really depressing. Too much grime, both inside and outside should never be left to accumulate. A clean window will instantly lift our spirits and let's us focus on something beautiful like a garden or water feature. You need to firstly make a list of all the equipment you are going to need. Things like buckets, soaps, sponges, squeegees, ladders, and the all important - garden hose, will become part of your routine. Shop for those at second hand stores or online DIY stores who are ready to give you good deals.

Detergents will always be a factor in this business. A strong one will help you get rid of the grime without much effort. But do choose detergents that a friendly to nature.

You now need to make a thorough inspection of the windows you want cleaned. Take note if there are any windows which are hard to reach, so that you are able to climb a ladder. Also make sure that all the windows are closed before you hose them down.

You can now take the garden hose to the windows by using a strong nozzle which will give you a lot of water pressure to wash off the dirt. Once you have got most of the hard dirt off you can now start with your soapy mixture.

Do use good quality cloths and sponges to wash your windows. They should not leave any trace behind them when you finally dry off the windows. To get your windows sparkling clean with almost no particles left on them, you should use up or down strokes or left to right whichever is more comfortable. By using circular motions, you only move the dirt around and around.

Now you are ready to take your garden hose with nozzle and wash off all the soap mixture. Make sure you get all the soap off as it can leave a trace when dry. Your windows are now ready to be dried with a soft cloth which will not leave behind material particles on the windows.

Cleaning inside is a bit different to outside because you will not be able to use the garden hose. Here you are only able to use buckets of water. But the method stays the same as for outside. Loosen up grime with water and then wash off with a soapy mixture. Rinse and dry as before.
