Mosquitoes can cause a lot of annoyance because of their incessant whining. This in fact is a disturbance to people, and they cannot freely have a discussion outdoor during evening hours, or even a family dinner. Apart from that, mosquitoes are the chief transmitters of malaria. If you can manage to keep them off your yard, you might as well bid bye to malaria. Use the following helpful tips of Atlanta mosquito control.

Your efforts should be geared towards limiting the breeding area for mosquitoes. Mosquitoes do lay eggs in water that is slow moving or constant. Now your work is to ensure that no such waters are found anywhere near your home. By eliminating these sources of water, generations of mosquitoes will be kept off your place.

All dustbins that are found outdoor need to be rid of any water. To do this, just drill holes at the bottom of containers and not at the sides. Drilling holes at the sides will not eliminate all the water, and mosquitoes might still breed in the dustbins.

Your gutters must always be maintained clean and unclogged. Make sure that those downspouts are draining properly. This will eliminate any puddles being left in the draining area. Add a few extensions or reroute the downspouts as this helps in carrying any stagnant water away.

Your swimming pool is yet another favorite breeding place for mosquitoes. However, it ceases to be so the moment you maintain it to be clean and chlorinated at all times. Even when you are not using it, you have to maintain it. Going to a vacation without chlorinating it will encourage the mosquitoes to breed. Otherwise, you may return to a mosquito-infested home.

After a downpour, always go round your home to see that the landscape allows the water to drain evenly. This ensures that no puddles of water are formed in your compound. If the landscape does not drain well, it may be important to have regraded. This eliminates instances of having puddles of water within your compound.

Water in ornamental ponds can be kept moving, and this is by aerating the pond. This is an effective way of preventing mosquitoes from hatching into these places. Another alternative would be to stock the ponds with fish which eat mosquitoes.

There are certain things that will hold water twice every week after it has rained. Such containers need to be removed from your compound. They include garbage can lids, birdbaths, swimming pools that are not chlorinated, among other things. Consider emptying saucers found beneath the flower pots. Pet bowls should also not contain water for more than two days.

For the adult ones just clear any tall trees or bushes around your compound. This is where they breed during the day. Using proper Atlanta mosquito control tips will go along way into keeping your family healthy and free from malaria. This will translate into lower medical bill for you and your family.
