Very many people become nervous when thoughts of Christmas light installation cross their minds. This task will always be a last minute affair for a lot of families since the procedures are only started when the holiday season approaches. It may appear lighter during the cold and wet season. It should not be viewed as being so much of a chore. Using a few of the guiding principles below you can successfully complete the installation process.

Instead of using a standard stapler, use a cable tucker upon deciding to staple the bulbs in your house. Standard staplers will destroy the protective coating which will then eventually mess up the wiring. The chances of there being a short circuit are increased. The tuckers used normally u-shaped. Allowance for the cable should always be left. This guarantees that the wires will remain in good condition and last a little longer.

Clip the wires about an inch from either side of the bulbs. This allows them to be straight while making them look the same. When all is completed the job will look very neat. As you hang the bulbs along the roof, ensure that is more than a few feet on the sides of the structure.

If you would not want leave marks on the outside of the house, you might want to consider using non-enveloping clips. They are easy to use and are quite affordable. They also have the ability of clipping bulbs to gutters or beneath the shingles quickly with ease. For each bulb, you are going to need one.

Whenever you hang the bulbs, avoid stapling or hanging them pointing upwards if you can. Doing this will allow water to seep in and it will eventually short circuit the wires. Get them to point outwards instead.

With the use of an electrical tape, seal all the male and female plugs together between each of the strands. This enables your bulbs to stay bright during the whole festive season. Water is also prevented from getting in. While you suspend the bulbs on the trees, utilize a good painting pole that has a hook fixed at any of its ends. You can alternatively make one by using a small disposable paint roller that screw on the end of the pole. Chop off the roller then bend the wire to form a v shape. This will work for you perfectly.

You should also consider wrapping the trunks with miniature bulbs. The spacing should be approximately four inches. However, this will need plenty of bulbs. When doing this, roll the strands into a ball. You can then keep passing it round the trunk and towards you as it slowly unravels.

When you work with ladders, you need to take caution. A lot of accidents are bound to happen more so when it is approaching the holiday season. If you abide by this simple but useful tip you can avoid the nasty accidents from happening. If you are too scared of falling off the ladder, consider hiring a professional to carry out the fittings for you.

Christmas light installation is an easy process if all procedures are followed. Safety needs to be observed at all times. There are also many kinds of lights to choose.
