Summer time is the season of warm weather, rest, and of course poolside parties. An afternoon by the pool with family and friends is definitely a fantastic success, providing amusement for the children along with a relaxing environment for the grown ups. Here are some simple ways to make your pool's summertime debut exhilarating and memorable for all your family and friends.

Finger Foods

Light finger food items are good for snacking and will allow for flexibility, allowing visitors to come and go during the day. Sliced watermelon and other fresh fruit will add to your outdoor enjoyment, and for the adults, a fresh pineapple or mango salsa is likely to impress. Bring out the grill for a few hot dogs and hamburgers, and the appetizing smell will draw in everyone to the backyard.

For dessert, try out fruity popsicles; they are low in calories and easy to transport about, along with colorful and fun. Chocolate chip cookies and other treats that are easy to grab and don't have wrappers or demand utensils also work well for outdoor parties. Inevitably, there'll be some clean-up required, so put a trash can outside for your guests to dispose of their trash when they're done.

Decorative Drinks

With the burning sun over head, you'll never have too much ice or shade, so place some coolers filled with ice and refreshments out on your outdoor patio. Make some fun easy drinks, such as a rejuvenating Margarita or Pina Colada, which can be made using or without alcohol. Decorative straws and orange or lime slices will add an exotic flair towards your drinks.

Making it Fun

Be prepared with entertainment; bring out exciting objects or activities every hour to keep your friends and family members on their toes. Diving rings and soft plastic balls are great to toss in the swimming pool, as children love diving and finding items, but make certain they aren't so small that they will get stuck in your pool cleaner.

Noodles and floats in animal shapes are great for younger kids and, when in conjunction with a couple of games or races, can create a great deal of laughter and excitement. If the crowd turns out to be older, setting up a volleyball net will stimulate some welcoming competition among best freinds and family.

Because there are many exciting ideas, it's time for you to get your pool cleaned and prepared for the social gathering. For even easier preparation and servicing, you can hire a pool service company to take care of your pool for you. Once your pool is ready, it's time for you to call friends and family and let the party begin!
