After doing that, it is that time to set up your traps. They should be set inside the holes. Remember to stabilize your traps so that the animals cannot move them. To mark the locations of the traps, you can consider using several flags. The traps should then be covered using grass or dirt.

After you have set the traps, always remember to check them after some time. If you find any trapped gophers, remove them. Dig a pit whereby you can be disposing them. After you have removed the animal, remember to put up the trap again. Repeat this activity for a while until you stop seeing any more sign of gophers.
