Some people enjoying taking care of their lawn and plants, others do not have the time, suffer aches and pains that make it difficult, or they prefer simply to not do it. So if you do not want to deal with the mowing, weeding, fertilizing, mulching and what ever else has to be done, call landscape maintenance services redwood city ca, and let them do it.

The easiest and safest way to hire someone, is to take a look around. Where ever you see a lawn that is well maintained, ask the owner who they use. They will be happy to share the information with you. Talk to the home owner and find out what type of services they have. That way you will have a more clear understanding of what to ask and expect.

The first thing you want to find out is what services do they offer. If you have trees, will you want to prune them yourself of have them do it. Find out if they remove and discard cut or fallen limbs, branches, leaves, and other debris. Decide if you want them to weed around your plants or just cut the grass, blow leaves then leave. In addition, do you expect them to fertilize the lawn and all plants, install or change sprinklers, and do other landscaping work.

It is also important to know who is going to be working on site, it is your home after all. Ask how much experience they have and if there is going to be a language barrier. If so, then make sure at least one person there, will be able to communicate effectively with you.

Larger companies have a menu of set fees they charge per item or job. You probably will not benefit from this type of fee schedule do to variables in the size of yards and difficulty with maneuvering in some. Instead, show them where and what you want done, then ask for a price.

Part of that quote should include who will pay for what. If you expect them to provide materials like fertilizer, then you should be willing to pay retail for it. Do not expect them to pass on any business discounts they receive. After all they are a business and should be treated as such. The same goes for any sprinklers, plants, or items you have them provide. If you do not like idea or believe you can get the items for a lower price, find out if they will use the materials you provide first then include as part of the agreement.

If you live in an area where the winter brings snow, find out if they will provide snow-blowing services and shovel your roof or drive. You may want to also find out if they furnish firewood and if they will stack it. If you live where there is lots of rain negotiate what services you want during the wet season.

The most important things to remember when hiring a lawn or yard service is check their references, have a clear agreement, in writing is best, on what will be done. Know what their schedule is going to be and the method of payment they require.
