For large work floors, arenas and rinks, High Bay lighting will produce bright illumination to provide clear vision with less eyestrain, and at a considerable savings in power usage. Operators of this type of lighting will also find their maintenance costs are substantially lower compared to metal halide lights, or even conventional LED lights.

High Bay lighting is made with 156 watt compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) which is one of the most efficient forms of lighting on the market today, saving an incredible 70 percent on lighting over metal halide types. This low power usage is even superior to LED High Bay lighting by as much as one-third. If you have air conditioners, they will also become cheaper to operate because High Bay lighting produces very little heat.

It seems that everyone has had to tighten his or her belt during the current economic hardship, so by installing High Bay lighting with super bright 156 watt CFLs, it makes good business sense, and retrofitting can easily be done. There is an option of having lights with a classic style mirror aluminum finish that directs light almost like a car's headlight, or a clear Plexiglas cover for a uniformly distributed light, and unlike the metal halide lights these turn on and off in an instant. There's no need to fret about changing bulbs frequently as each one lasts 20 thousand hours.

If the coverage area is where detailed work is done, such as in certain manufacturing applications, or if color representation needs to be accurate such as in car show rooms, 150 watt LED High Bay lighting is the answer, as well the lights are unaffected by vibration with constant illumination eliminating eye strain, unlike metal halides that can flicker. Rather than using lenses, this LED lighting uses an advanced chip that does not need changing for 50 thousand hours, or more than 10 years of a 12 hour daily operation. If vivid light is a requirement, then LED High Bay lighting is the answer with 3 times greater illumination than CFL.

High Bay lighting is used widely for indoor and outdoor applications, and with the latter they also perform as a deterrent to crime by providing what criminals do not want - bright light, and they also make images more defined in surveillance cameras and CCTV. Both High Bay lighting products have 3 or 5-year warranties on these fine American made items.
