CNA Training and HIPPA

While you are in CNA training or already graduated, one word you'll frequently hear throughout your study and work is "HIPPA". It is not going to leave you where ever you work and study. What exactly is HIPPA?

The complete form of HIPPA is Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act. These health care regulations and laws were put into effect by Congress in 1996 to boost the standards of correct health care throughout the nation. Within HIPPA you will find 3 major factors you have to learn like a CNA and to obtain CNA certification. In the event you do not have complete knowledge about these factors you aren't going to pass the certification test and become CNA in future.

During your training, you will learn some topics within HIPPA regarding abuse and health care fraud. Various types of frauds and crimes are discussed in this section that occurs in health care field. You will also discuss about the punishments for those crimes. Here are some major rules:

Privacy Rule: This rule is usually talked within HIPPA. Security rule of HIPPA tells you about providing security of all of the electronics record of the patients which are created, utilized, received, or maintained in the health care system.
